Hades Factions Game-Play Rules

If a rule is not listed below, staff members have full authority to make an on the spot decision. If the player feels that the judgment is unfair or incorrect an admin or higher, will review the punishment at the earliest opportunity. The rules are subject to change, and CAN CHANGE MID-MAP! Please ensure you occasionally check back to stay up-to-date on the server guidelines.



General Cannoning Rules
  • Automatic Cannons
    • Cannons may fire automatically. As long as they follow all cannoning rules including the speed limit.

  • Left / Right Shooting
    • Left / Right shooting is prohibited.
      • Punishments:
      • The faction Left/Right shooting will receive 1 faction strike and the defending faction will receive a rollback.

  • Reverse Nuking
    • Reverse nukes are prohibited. You may not put any kind of reverse nuke on any cannon.
    • Do not get confused between Reverse hybrids and Reverse Nuking, they are two different things.
    • You may not put a reverse nuke on a reverse hybrid cannon. Reverse nukes are banned entirely.
    • This also includes wall removers.
      • Punishments:
      • The faction using the Reverse Nuke will receive 1 faction strike and the defending faction will receive a rollback.

  • Horizontally Stacking Sand
    • Any cannons that stack sand horizontally rather than vertically are prohibited.
      • Punishments:
      • The faction using the illegal cannon will receive 1 faction strike and the defending faction will receive a rollback.

  • Cannon Speeds
    • Covet: The barrel must stay at or below the Y level stated and TNT/sand that fires from that barrel cannot anti-gravity or "jump up" a wall in order to hybrid a larger portion of a wall at faster speeds. (This includes reverse hybrid cannons) With that being said, "one rev" is the one exception that is allowed.
    • Cannons above Y 20 Cannot fire faster than 4.0s
    • Cannons at or below Y 20 Cannot fire faster than 3.0s
    • Cannons at or below Y 10 Cannot fire faster than 2.0s
    • 1 Stackers (that stack 1 sand) Cannot fire faster than 1.0s
      • Punishments:
      • The faction using the Fast Cannon will receive 1 faction strike and the defending faction will receive a rollback.

  • Multiple Wall 1 shots
    • Cannons may not stack, on top behind or beside each other, and may not be linked up to each other.
    • This includes a cannon that breaks 1 wall in multiple spots in 1 button press. (eg Dragons 14 hole 1 stacker)
    • Multiple wall 1 shots are strictly prohibited. This is defined as a cannon that breaks more than 1 wall per button press.
      • Punishments:
      • The faction using the Multi-Wall will receive 1 faction strike and the defending faction will receive a rollback.

  • Phase Cannons
    • Cannons that "phase" or "flux" are strictly prohibited.
    • This includes cannons that triangle on or past this border.
      • Punishments:
      • The faction using the Phase Cannon will receive 1 faction strike and the defending faction will receive a rollback.

  • Roof Cannons
    • Roof cannons are strictly prohibited. Roof cannons are not allowed unless it exploits a player made issue. For example, a roof built at the wrong Y level. Roof cannons are described as any cannon that shoots TNT and/or sand above Y:255.
      • Punishments:
      • The faction using the Roof Cannon will receive 1 faction strike and the defending faction will receive a rollback.

  • Horizontal Nukes
    • Horizontal Nukes are strictly prohibited. (this includes wall removers)
      • Punishments:
      • The faction using the Horizontal Nuke will receive 1 faction strike and the defending faction will receive a rollback.

  • Lag Machines or Lag Cannons
    • Cannons or machines designed to intentionally lag the server will not be tolerated. This includes but is not limited to:
    • Door machines
    • Large piston machines
    • Water machines
    • Carpet or fence gate compression fun time
    • Intentionally spraying powers
    • Cannons that abuse double or triple triangles to fling sand & TNT in a way to lag the server
    • 720 chunk tunnelers
    • Cannons with large amounts of dispensers
      • Punishments:
      • Non Intentional: The user will be warned to remove the device
      • Non Intentional (Refusal): Device removed and operators banned. The faction will receive 2 faction strikes.
      • Intentional: The faction using the device will receive 2 faction strike and the operators will be permanently banned.
    • Note: Administrators have the authority to determine if you are intentionally or non intentionally lagging the server.

General Raiding Rules

  • What Is Considered Raiding?
    • Raiding
      • A Cannon shot placement above Y10 will start a raid attempt
      • Any "Memeing" must stop once a raid has started
      • A raid is deemed over after 15 minutes after the last wall is broke.
      • Regardless of any Y level, any reverse hybrid cannons count as a raid attempt (Not reverse nuke, reverse nukes are ilegal)
    • Cooldown
      • Once a raid is over, the defending faction gets a 30 minute raid cool down
      • The defending faction cannot be raided during this time, however can be "memed"
    • Memeing
      • Any cannon shot placement Y10 or below will start a meme attempt
      • A defending faction can only be "memed" by 1 faction at a time
      • "Memeing" Does not trigger any grace cooldown period nor does it have to adhere to it.
      • If any raid attempts starts (from your faction or other factions), "memeing" must stop. Failure to stop will count as 2 factions raidding at once and whoever is "memeing" will be punished.

  • Raid Claims
    • Raid claims may only be a single 10x10 raid claim.
    • You may NOT adjust/triangle outside of these raid claims. Adjusting is limited to your raid claim.
    • Cannons that shoot on or past the border are prohibited. Meaning you cannot triangle off of the border.
    • You may NOT claim additional land for adjusting purposes.
    • A faction may only have a (1) raid claim on each side of another factions buffer.
    • This is capped at a maximum of 2 raid claims on another faction, each must be on different sides of another factions buffer.
      • Punishments:
      • Any claims that do not adhere to rules regarding raid claims. The faction will be given a verbal warning, if they fail to fix the claims within (Online: 5 minutes) (Offline: 6 hours) an Administrator will forcefully remove them and the faction will be issued 1 faction strike.
      • If the faction successfully starts a raid with illegal claims then 1 faction strike will be issued.

  • Walls In A Raid Claim
    • You are only allowed a maximum of 20 walls, not including the main cannon box wall on each side of a cannon box.
    • Anything that requires an additional shot to breach a box (Trap Wall) will count as a wall. Therefore if you have 19 walls with an additional 3 trap walls you will be exceeding the max amount of walls.
      • Punishments:
      • If a faction has more than 20 walls on their cannon box, the faction will be given a verbal warning, if they fail to fix the walls within (Online: 30 minutes) (Offline: 6 hours) an Administrator will forcefully remove them and the faction will be issued 1 faction strike.
      • If the faction successfully start a raid with the illegal walls then 1 faction strike will be issued.

  • Patching Rules
    • You are not allowed to patch past your 20 walls of your raid claim. This is called extending a buffer.
    • Patching in wilderness to alter a raid is not allowed.
    • You must wait 5 minutes after the last wall has broke to gen-bucket patch or printer patch your cannon box.
    • If another faction is raiding, you may not patch your cannon box to protect another factions cannon box from being breached.
      • Punishments:
      • One Patcher: 6h Ban
      • Multiple Patchers: 24h Ban to patchers. + 1 Faction Strike

  • Multiple Factions Raiding
    • Only one Faction can raid or meme one specific faction at a time.
    • A faction may not counter another faction unless they're the defending faction.
    • This also includes factions whom attempt to steal raids.
      • Punishments:
      • If a another faction starts raiding or memeing the same faction they will receive a verbal warning and be asked to stop if they do not stop the cannon will be forcefully removed and 1 faction strike will be issued. If the defending faction has their base damaged in the process of another faction attempting, the damages will be rolled back.


  • Raiding Notifications
    • Raid notifications are strictly prohibited this includes but is not limited to:
    • Any type of bot, alt or wall detector plugin that alerts a player that their wall has been broken
    • Redstone on top of sand walls (e.g redstone, repeaters, redstone lamps etc)
If a faction is caught using raiding notifications they will receive 1 faction strike. If they are building a illegal redstone check wall during grace period, then the faction will be warned to remove it. Failure to remove the device will result in a faction strike.

  • Wilderness Patching
    • Placing blocks outside of your claims to stop or alter the outcome of a raid is also not allowed.
      • Punishments:
        • First Offense: 6 Hour Ban
        • Second Offense: 12 Hour Ban
        • Third Offense: 24 Hour Ban

  • Cannon Stacking
    • Cannons may not stack, on top behind or beside each other, and may not be linked up to each other. This only applies to cannons used in active raids. Cannon boxes that are claimed by other factions and are in-front of the attacking factions, may not be defended. If your box is affecting the raiding/countering of either faction. You are deemed to be aiding another faction by interfering in the raid.
      • Punishments:
        • This will result in a faction strike.

General Countering Rules
  • Buffer Counters
    • You may only have 2 Buffer counters per side of your base.
    • This means if you have a corner, both sides combined you can have 4 buffer counters total.
    • These buffer counters can NOT be inline with any spawners or your base.
    • You may not shoot at another faction's base from your buffer cannon, or a cannon within an unused base's buffer.
    • A faction may not counter another faction unless they're the defending faction.
    • Cannons that shoot on or past the border are prohibited. Meaning you cannot triangle off of the border.
      • Punishments:
      • If a faction has illegal buffer counters, the faction will be given a verbal warning, if they fail to fix the buffer counters within (Online: 2 Hours) (Offline: 6 hours) an Administrator will forcefully remove them and the faction will be issued 1 faction strike.
      • If the faction successfully uses the illegal counters then 1 faction strike will be issued and the defending faction will receive a rollback.

  • Side Counters
    • Side counter claims cannot be larger than 10x10 chunks.
    • Side counter claims are any claims that have an active counter cannon in it, outside of your buffer.
    • Adjustments that are made have to stay within these 10x10 chunks.
    • These claims must at least be 5 chunks away from the last claim of your buffer.
    • Your side counter claims can NOT be inline with any spawners or your base.
    • You may NOT fire at the back of a enemy cannon box.
    • A faction may not counter another faction unless they're the defending faction.
    • Cannons that shoot on or past the border are prohibited. Meaning you cannot triangle off of the border.
      • Punishments:
      • If a faction has illegal side counters, the faction will be given a verbal warning, if they fail to fix the side counters within (Online: 2 Hours) (Offline: 6 hours) an Administrator will forcefully remove them and the faction will be issued 1 faction strike.
      • If the faction successfully uses the illegal counters then 1 faction strike will be issued and the defending faction will receive a rollback.

  • Switching in-between Counter Cannons
    • Factions must wait 5 minutes when switching from using one counter cannon to another. (on one specific cannon box)
    • This includes your buffer counters or any side counters you may have.
      • Punishments:
        • First Offense: Rollback + 24 Hour Ban To Cannon Operator(s)
        • Second Offense: Rollback + 1 Faction Strike
